Way back at the end of June (already a month ago) was Ava's last day of Pre-K. I showed her the picture of her on her first day of school and she wanted to wear the same thing. It was definitely a bit more snug, but covered everything it needed to. She was disappointed the same sneakers didn't fit.
Here's the picture from September 2009
And here she is June 2010
Ava loved her teachers. They did an excellent job with the class. Thank you Mrs. Niver and Mrs. Rayburn.
Here are some pictures of our addition lately.
Where old meets new. The siding is almost finished on the new part of the house.
I have been trying to plan fun, crafty and educational activities for the kids. It certainly doesn't work out everyday, but here is evidence of one such day. Our theme was sun so we made sun catchers, cornmeal suns, and hand print sunflowers. I tried to stay at arms length to let them do it on their own without too much control. We had a blast and the crafts turned out really cute.
At the beginning of the Summer Ava learned how to ride her bike in about a day. She surprised me and Todd with how quick she was. We have a stone driveway so we take the bikes down to the school parking lot and let the kids roam. Bowe loves riding his Spiderman scooter. You can kind of see him in the background.
Our Summer family tradition . . . going to a Rochester Red Wing's baseball game.
It was very hot and sticky, but we had fun! Bowe is a sweaty kid, just like his Dad. The poor kid was dripping.
We've taken the boat out a few times. The weather and water have been perfect. Thanks Mom and Dad for letting us "take care" of the boat while you're on your mission.
Under the boat (it's a pontoon)
A glimpse at the pregnant belly. This was three weeks ago. This baby is definitely packing on the pounds lately. The somersaults are quite uncomfortable at this point and there is a lot of moving around in there. We're down to 5 1/2 weeks until baby comes.
